Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
We have had such a blessed year and wanted to share a few moments with you all.
Jason has had an adventurous year in his full-time Air Force Reserve capacity—he’s been able to travel to Japan, South Korea and Finland to spread the good news of the F-35 to foreign militaries. He is still on a military leave of absence from Southwest Airlines and will be for a few more years, even though he really looks forward to the day he gets to go back. He thinks he got promoted for the last time—Lieutenant Colonel baby!
Jen enjoys her responsibilities of being a military spouse, raising two godly boys and working full time as a Senior Manager in her twelfth year at Deloitte. In her spare time, she enjoys pursuing God, running, and thinking of creative ways to decorate our home.
Aiden is flourishing in first grade and enjoys his team sports of soccer and baseball while continually asking to go to the driving range (golf). He hung up his karate gi after giving it a good try and achieving the rank of orange belt. He was asked to represent his class at the school spelling bee and is turning into such a fine young man and big brother.
Caleb is in his second year of pre-school and has been a real pleasure in his fifth year of life. His personality is developing, and he absolutely loves his best friend, Aiden. He gave his first hack at soccer and finally got the hang of it by season’s end. Caleb enjoyed skiing during his first out-of-the country trip to Canada. His laugh is as hearty as ever and he is just as smiley as he was as a three-month old.
We have had a fun year together traveling, camping, going to marriage retreats, going to Disney, going to baseball spring training, hosting visitors and setting up our new beach house. Through it all we’ve given thanks to God and are amazed at the life He’s given us. We thank Him for all the friends and family we’ve been given—YOU!
